Parents And Their Children’s Health Work is a charitable organisation based in Prestonpans and covers the EH32 catchment area providing health information services for pre school children.

Patchwork is run by a voluntary management committee, made up by local parents with pre school children. We work in partnership with East Lothian Council and NHS Lothian.

We run sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 10am – 12 noon. Monday and Wednesday, the toddler group runs at Prestonpans Community Centre, for pre school children. On a Tuesday at the Pennypit Centre we provide a friendly meeting place and drop in clinic for parents and children aged 0–5, where a health visitor is available to give advice and support where needed, and there is the opportunity to weigh your baby after their 6 week check.

There is crèche provision for older siblings, as these sessions are most appropriate for babies up to 1 year old.

We run various workshops throughout the year aimed at improving parents awareness of health related issues. Further information can be found throughout our site.
